All proceeds from the night will go towards the CALM and Mind charities
London venue The Cause has announced a charity fundraiser in honour of the late Prodigy frontman Keith Flint.
Flint passed away on Monday (March 4) after taking his own life in his Essex home. He was 49 years old.
Flint will be remembered next weekend during a special fundraising night at The Cause. The Tottenham Hale-located club will host the ‘Music For The Jilted Generation’ event on March 16 to remember Flint’s life and career in music, with all proceeds from the night going to the mental health charities Mind and CALM.
“On Monday 4th March 2019 we lost one of our heroes,” The Cause’s event description reads. “Keith Flint was undoubtedly one of the greatest legends in the game, loved and respected by electronic music, punk and rock’n’roll fans alike.

“News reports state that Keith took his own life and had suffered depression,” the description continues. “Male suicide IS the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Mental health affects us all and raising awareness of this was one of the key factors in establishing The Cause.
“As such, together with NLA Artists we are throwing a celebration of the music Keith and The Prodigy inspired, inviting down friends of the club alongside those who the band shared line-ups with and who’s records were played at events during their rise to fame. Expect plenty of Prodigy classics ;)”
Acts such as Slipmatt, Ellis Dee, Jason Warlock, and Billy Nasty will all play on the night. Tickets are on sale now from here.
A separate JustGiving page, which is aiming to raise £1000 for Calm and Mind in Flint’s memory, has also been set up by The Cause.
Following the sad news of Flint’s passing this week, The Prodigy have today (March 6) announced the cancellation of all of their upcoming live shows.
