A triple-pronged attack on the US authorities
Tom Morello has released a song that addresses police brutality in the US, called ‘Rabbit’s Revenge’.
The track, taken from the Rage Against The Machine guitarist’s forthcoming solo album ‘The Atlas Underground’, hears Morello team up with rappers Big Boi and Killer Mike as well as dubstep producer Bassnectar for a full-throttle political attack.
Lyrics such as, “Fight for my life like a mother fucking Treyvon/ Fight for my life like a mother fucking Mike Brown” recall the names of those who have fallen victim to authorities’ brute force.

Speaking about the new album, Morello said: “I’ve been devoted both musically and as an activist to fighting injustice at every turn. Amid this heightened sense of impending doom, it’s now time to rally the troops in a last-ditch effort to save the planet, and our artistic souls.
“By challenging the boundaries of what music is and has sounded like before, you can open people’s eyes to changing the status quo in society.”
Morello, who also plays guitar in Prophets of Rage, enlists a host of talents from the hip-hop and EDM world for his new record including Vic Mensa for ‘We Don’t Need You’ and Knife Party for ‘Battle Sirens’).
‘The Atlas Underground’ is released on October 12 via Mom + Pop Music.
