Now: Richard Attenborough died in 2014 at the age of 90. He had a long career in acting and directing, was a Royal Air Force pilot during WWII, and won two Oscars. His last onscreen appearance was in 2002’s Puckoon and he directed his last film, Closing the Ring, in 2007.
