Drake’s New Album Is Smashing All Streaming Records

Drake is breaking all sorts of records with his new album Scorpion, which is likely on track to top the Billboard 200 chart this week.

The 31-year-old rapper dropped the album on Friday (June 29) and he broke the first day streaming records on both Spotify and Apple Music.

The tracks on Drake‘s album received more than 170 million streams on Apple Music in one day, nearly double the previous record he set with More Life last year with 89.9 million streams.

While Spotify hasn’t confirmed official numbers, SpotifyCharts.com reports that the individual tracks received 132,450,203 streams in the first day. This beats Post Malone‘s record 78,744,748 streams for Beerbongs & Bentleys. The streaming service did confirm that the record had been broken, according to Variety.
