Now, police have arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of murder. The man was detained as he was trying to leave the country from an airport in Split, interior minister Davor Bozinovic said. A total of seven people have been arrested in relation to the incident, as Mixmag reports.
A witness told Croation newspaper Vecernji List of the aftermath of the stabbing: “A man fled into the toilet after seeing what had happened to his friend. I’m sure there are witnesses because there were many people there at the time, and everything happened in front of the fast food restaurant.”
Hideout Festival organisers released a statement on Facebook, which read: “We are giving every assistance to the investigation and our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of the people affected. As always, we are working closely with the local authorities with the safety and security of everyone on site as our top priority.”
